We are celebrating the transition between Black and Women's History Month by highlighting an interview with Carol Anderson, born in 1936 on the west side of Winter Park. Carol shares childhood recollections, pathway to a college education, and years as a teacher in her oral history.
Reflecting on growing up in her neighborhood, Carol explains that both her parents worked but “…everyone knew everyone, and everybody’s mom was everybody else’s mom. And everybody’s dad was everybody else’s dad. And grandparents were the jewels of our day because, basically, they were the ones at home."
This interview was recorded on 04/02/1998.
